Millions of women and children are trapped in sex trafficking and prostitution throughout the world. In Nepal, there are an alarming number of children and young women being trafficked for commercial sexual exploitation every day into India’s brothels. In response, Not For Sale Campaign has established Border Outposts that consist of surveillance teams, safe houses, and monitoring programs that survey the transit buses with the help of local police to help identify criminals smuggling victims across Nepal’s border. Last year alone these outposts rescued nearly 2,000 girls from the sex trade! Currently only 8 of Nepal’s 24 border crossings are being monitored. At Passion 2010 we aim to raise funds to establish a new border outpost for $25,000 and help stop trafficking before it starts!
1,000 students x $25 = 1 Border Outpost in Nepal
