PASSION JAKARTA is a gathering for university-aged young people throughout South-East Asia. Believing in the university moment, and what God longs to do in this strategic window of time, the entire event will focus on the bigness of God, calling students to prayer, worship and action, and a Story so much bigger than their own.The heartbeat of PASSION JAKARTA is to:

Why the World
Finding in Christ all we need, and spending our lives to make Him famous in this generation... that's what The Passion Movement is all about and what has attracted hundreds of thousands of university aged young people to Passion gatherings over the past eleven years. Passion is more than an event. Passion is a movement made up of young people who have abandoned the idea of living simply for themselves and are daily giving everything so the world can see Jesus more clearly. Passion is about the glory of God, inspiring a wave of students to taste and see that He is good and to do something now to change the world in Jesus' name. We've discovered that every major city in the world is a university town, most home to hundreds of thousands, and in some cases millions of students. So, Passion is off on a crazy journey to the cities of the world in 2008, uniting university students around the globe in a story so much bigger than our own. Volunteer
VolunteerThanks to the amazing response, we are no longer in need of volunteers.
In order to make these events happen, we will need volunteers who are willing to serve throughout the whole conference in various jobs. We are requiring that all volunteers be 25 years of age or older. Anyone under the age of 25 CANNOT volunteer. The reason for this is that we want students to be able to fully connect with all of the experiences at the conference. Volunteers do not pay to attend and are typically working hard behind the scenes during every part of the day serving the students attending the conference. Accordingly, we require that all volunteers be 25 years of age or older.
As many of you know, those of you who are behind the scenes are the busiest, which usually doesn’t allow for a lot of participation in the conference itself. Please come well rested, in comfortable shoes, willing to serve and knowing that there might not be time to attend the conference at all.
You will need to be at the venue to check in from 2:45-3:15PM. There will be a MANDATORY meeting at 3:30PM and you will need to be available through load out late the evening of the event.
Below are some of the roles that our Volunteer Team will participate in:
1. Registration
This team will help facilitate on-site registration and all tasks connected to check-in and ticketing process.
2. Touch
This team will act as ushers and will offer directional and informational assistance throughout the event.
3. Resource
This team will help with setup and teardown of resource area and provide customer service at the 268store throughout the event.
4. Signage
This team will help with setup and teardown of all signage for the event.
United States
For those of you in the US, you can join us in any city you would like. We're encouraging you to bring your crew and engage in some kind of mission cause in the city or country where we will be.
Plan your trip to include the date of the Passion gathering, but please know that we cannot help you facilitate that adventure by connecting you with organizations in the host city or a with any logistical arrangements. Work through your channels, streams and networks to locate a project you can assist with, but please understand that Passion cannot assist you in this process AND invest the energy needed to make these events a reality.
Given that we are working with local volunteers, we don't need massive volunteer help with these events. So organize your group, come and serve alongside of Passion's mission and join us for an unforgettable night of worship. Please note: due to space limitations and national demand, some cities will be open to local young people first and others on a space-available basis.

More than concerts alone, we see the Passion World Tour as catalytic events God can use to change the spiritual climate on the university campuses of the world. In most cases, less than 2% of the people in the nations the Passion World Tour is headed to are actively following Christ. If that's true, on a campus of 30,000 students there may be only 300+ student Believers engaged in a local Christian ministry or church. Thus, the stakes are high and the challenges are real as we head to seventeen world cities in 2008.The good news is the Passion Movement is everywhere, consisting of people willing to pray for every step of this journey. Together, we are asking God to breathe life into these gatherings and use them to inspire a generation to live for His fame. Wherever you are you can be a part of these historic events by connecting with students and leaders who are praying for Passion's World Tour.
